Brief: To provide a new logo for an Afro-centric Fashion Brand in Tobago that is modern and legible, but still serves as an ode to its predecessor.

The guidance given besides the previous logo (above) was that the brand’s owner is cultural and afro-conscious. Her love for African culture is radiated through her work.
The First Draft
After the first rounds of drafts, the client requested the “J” be a bit more cursive, and that there was major headroom for prints, and colors.
The finished product featured the dove with an olive leaf, as seen in the original logo, African print (with the predominant colour being pink, the brand owner’s favourite), and the “JVE” brand and monogram in Century font.
